Spring Ephemerals BioBlitz with Minneapolis Parks and Rec

  • Minnehaha Regional Park (map)

About This Event

Join Master Naturalists and plant experts on a walk through the park to see what early spring flowers are blooming! We'll learn identification skills while capturing our observations using iNaturalist and adding to data from previous years on the spring ephemerals species found in the park.

Geared towards adults, but open to interested learners of all ages.

What is a BioBlitz?

These volunteer community science events bring people together to discover and identify as many species as possible at a specific location and over a defined time period. BioBlitzes are a fun way to collect valuable data and a collaborative effort among local scientists, naturalists, park lovers, park staff, and partner organizations.

Come out and volunteer at a BioBlitz event and explore the biodiversity in your local parks!

Please note that this event does not involve foraging. It is focused on plant identification.
