Fall Foraging Day

  • Honeycomb Cottage 14747 Manning Court North Stillwater, MN, 55082 United States (map)

About This Event

Join Maria Wesserle and Four Season Foraging for a full day of foraging! Take a trip out to the countryside for an in-depth exploration of wild plants and mushrooms. We will discuss laws and ethics around foraging, as well as identification, harvest, and preparation of edible species. Plant and mushroom species that we may find include dock seeds, hackberries, chicken of the woods, honey mushrooms, and more! If we’re lucky, we may even get to harvest some late-season mushrooms, nuts, fruits, or other foods.

This class will require a lot of walking since things are more spread out in rural areas. Suggested age 14 and up (those under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.)

This event will take place at Honeycomb Cottage, which is approximately 15 minutes north of Stillwater and 40 minutes northeast of Minneapolis.

Accessibility: this event will be held on and off trail and will require bushwhacking, going up and down hills, and walking over logs and other obstacles. Total distance traveled will be about 4 miles.

Sliding scale $70 - $90.
