Wild Eats for City Streets: Urban Foraging 101

 

About This Event

Urban foraging is gaining popularity across metropolitan areas. Learn how to do it safely and sustainably with Maria Wesserle of Four Season Foraging. Plants we will probably encounter include garlic mustard, burdock, dandelion, plantain, and many others! We will discuss identification, harvest, and preparation of each plant.

The exact location for this event will be sent to registrants in an email. It will be in the city of Minneapolis.

Accessibility: This event will be held on even and sloped ground with short grass, as well as on sidewalk. Total distance traveled will be around a mile.

Sliding scale $30 - $50.

Registration

Space is limited to better encourage participatory learning. Please register before Monday, May 13th, 6pm.

Three price levels are listed for participants: Sustainer at $50, Intermediate at $40, and Budget at $30. Payment is self-selected. Please pay as much as you can, and keep in mind that the sliding scale model is meant for folks who are often underrepresented at foraging events, including people of low wealth, BIPOC folks, and people in the LGBTQ+ community.

Suggested age 14 and up. You must be 18 to register. People age 17 and under are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult; that adult should register on their behalf. Kids 12 and under attend for free; those 13 and over are full price.
