Urban Herbs

Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa)

Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa)

**Registration is closed**

A surprising number of the plants that abound in urban areas and are scorned as “weeds” have awesome healing properties! Furthermore, some of the beautiful flowers that are favored for landscaping are also healthful herbs. Join Four Season Foraging and Maria Wesserle as we learn medicinal traits of common plants, and how to identify them. This workshop will focus on fewer species and get more in depth on each plant. Some plants we will cover include dandelion, rose, yarrow, and wild bergamot. Please note that we will not be harvesting any herbs, but we will have lots to discuss about them!

Due to the more technical nature of this workshop, it is recommended for ages 13+. (Adults may still bring younger children, but please be aware that this workshop will have less walking and more discussion.)

Meet at the intersection of the Midtown Greenway and Humboldt Ave S. in Minneapolis. (See map here.) There will be a sign that reads “Four Season Foraging.”

Sliding scale $15-$35. Scholarships are available. This event is wheelchair accessible. For more details, please email info@fourseasonforaging.com or call 612-440-5958.
