Fall Foraging

A harvest of crab apples (Malus spp.)

A harvest of crab apples (Malus spp.)

**Registration is closed.**

Fall is upon us, bringing with it a new season of delectable wild foods. Nuts, seeds, and roots are the primary foragables this time of year, though some fruits appear in the fall and even persist through winter. Join Maria Wesserle and Four Season Foraging as we learn what foods fall has to offer the urban forager. We will focus on black walnuts and crab apples, as they are two species which are now legal to harvest in Minneapolis Parks!

Meet at the park on the corner of 3rd Ave S. and 24th St. E. in Minneapolis. (See map here: https://goo.gl/maps/wZAULiM9CLq.) There will be a sign that reads “Four Season Foraging.”

Free and open to the public. Donations accepted. For more details, please email info@fourseasonforaging.com or call 612-440-5958.
